Biography: Prior establishing the firm, she received her first exposure with Messrs Zaid Ibrahim & Co., Johor Bahru. While serving Messrs Zaid Ibrahim & Co., she has been trusted to be solely in charge for an off shore bank i.e. Banque Internationale A Luxembourg (BIL) Asia Ltd, Singapore and render her advise to the said bank on laws and procedures relating banking laws in Malaysia and other related laws and negotiating with Malaysian authorities and developers to secure the bank's interest. She also has gained vast experience in corporate matters as she has been with a semi government body, Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad as the Legal Adviser before establishing the firm.
Rafida is well versed in, and has extensive experience in advising banks and financial institutions in particular financing purchase of commercial and residential properties and bridging financing of property development. She also has extensive experience in Islamic security documentation and has sound knowledge and understanding the different principles involved in Islamic financing transactions.
